Description

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb halal turkey breakfast sausage or halal beef sausage
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2½ cups milk
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, fried eggs

Instructions

  1. Bake tater tots according to package instructions until crispy and golden.
  2. While tots bake, cook halal sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned.
  3. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Sprinkle flour over the sausage and stir for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly pour in milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  5. Season with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Simmer until thick and creamy, about 5–7 minutes.
  6. Assemble bowls with crispy tater tots and spoon sausage gravy generously over the top.
  7. Add optional toppings if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can use any halal sausage if turkey or beef is preferred.
