Description
Sweet Chili Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts: Addictively crispy and glazed in sweet chili perfection—this easy air fryer side dish delivers bold flavor with minimal effort.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Optional: sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, toss halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well coated.
- Place sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crispy and golden.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix sweet chili sauce and soy sauce.
- Once sprouts are done, transfer them to a bowl and toss with the sauce mixture while hot.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- No parboiling required; air frying yields crisp Brussels sprouts.
- Keep sprouts in a single layer for even crisping; overcrowding will steam them.
- For gluten-free, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
- Adjust cook time based on Brussels sprouts size and desired crispiness (12–15 minutes is a baseline).
