Instructions
- In a bowl, beat together the softened butter, powdered sugar, heavy cream, and peppermint extract until a soft dough forms.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions.
- Tint one portion with red gel food coloring and knead until evenly colored.
- Roll both portions into long ropes.
- Twist the red and white ropes together, then roll gently to blend into a swirl.
- Cut into bite-size pieces and place on a parchment-lined tray.
- Let them air-dry for 12–24 hours until firm on the outside but soft inside.
