Smoked Sausage Pasta – Creamy, quick weeknight pasta featuring halal smoked turkey sausage.

- 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or your favorite)
- 1 lb halal smoked turkey sausage, sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Parmesan
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced halal smoked turkey sausage and cook until lightly browned.
- Add onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Add paprika, pepper, salt, and dried Italian seasoning. Stir and let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Add cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Simmer for 1-2 minutes to thicken.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Feel free to use any short pasta shape like penne, rotini, or fusilli.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half or milk for the cream and reduce cheese a bit.
- Leftovers reheat well; store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free pasta.
