- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Cooking spray or oil (for baking)
For the Mustard-Cheddar Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- Mix crushed pretzels, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
- Dredge chicken in flour, dip in egg-milk mixture, and coat with pretzels.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- For sauce, melt butter, whisk in flour, then add milk and cook until thickened.
- Stir in mustard and cheddar until smooth.
- Serve sauce over baked chicken.
