Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes: A quick, zesty, and juicy one-pan twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, made with halal ground beef, onions, peppers, and melty provolone on toasted buns.

- 1 lb halal ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ¾ cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp A-1 sauce or halal steak sauce
- 1 tsp steak seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 hamburger buns
- 6 slices provolone cheese (halal-certified)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add onion, green pepper, and garlic. Cook 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in beef broth, A-1 sauce, steak seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Reduce heat and simmer 8–10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Toast buns lightly if desired.
- Spoon beef mixture onto the buns and top with provolone cheese.
- Cover briefly or broil for 1–2 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Serve hot.

- For a lighter option, swap hoagie rolls for whole-grain buns.
