Description

One Pot Creamy Garlic Pasta: A rich, silky, one-pan pasta dinner that comes together in about 20 minutes with garlicky flavor and minimal cleanup.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta of choice
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2½ cups milk
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg, optional
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or extra Parmesan

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add dry pasta, milk, and vegetable broth. Stir well.
  3. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook, stirring often, until pasta is tender and liquid reduces, about 12–15 minutes.
  4. Lower heat and stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg if using.
  5. Continue stirring until sauce is thick and creamy.
  6. Remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute milk with cream for an even richer sauce (or half-and-half).
  • Use any short pasta shape you like.
  • If the sauce thickens too quickly, add a splash more milk or broth.
