Description
One Pot Creamy Garlic Pasta: A rich, silky, one-pan pasta dinner that comes together in about 20 minutes with garlicky flavor and minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz pasta of choice
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2½ cups milk
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp nutmeg, optional
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley or extra Parmesan
Instructions
- In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add dry pasta, milk, and vegetable broth. Stir well.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and cook, stirring often, until pasta is tender and liquid reduces, about 12–15 minutes.
- Lower heat and stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg if using.
- Continue stirring until sauce is thick and creamy.
- Remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute milk with cream for an even richer sauce (or half-and-half).
- Use any short pasta shape you like.
- If the sauce thickens too quickly, add a splash more milk or broth.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or extra Parmesan if desired.
