Description
Mountain Man Crock Pot Breakfast is a hearty, overnight slow-cooked morning meal featuring hash browns, halal sausage or turkey bacon, onions, eggs, and melted cheddar.

- 1 bag (30 oz) frozen shredded hash browns
- 1 lb halal beef or chicken breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- or 6 slices halal turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 10 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Optional add-ins: diced green peppers, mushrooms, spinach
Instructions
- Lightly grease the inside of a crock pot.
- Spread half of the hash browns evenly on the bottom.
- Layer half of the cooked sausage or turkey bacon, onion, optional veggies, and cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining hash browns, meat, and cheese.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour egg mixture evenly over the layers.
- Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or until eggs are fully set.
- Scoop and serve hot.
Notes
- You can use either halal sausage or turkey bacon; choose one option for the meat.
- Assemble the dish the night before and refrigerate; start the slow cooker in the morning for an even easier wake-up meal.
- For a lighter version, reduce the cheese or use a low-fat milk option.
- Let the dish rest for a few minutes after cooking before serving to help set the eggs.
