- 6 cups cubed brioche or white bread
- 1 cup halal turkey ham, diced
- 1 cup cooked turkey breast, diced
- 1½ cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 6 large eggs
- 1½ cups milk
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- For serving: powdered sugar, raspberry or strawberry jam
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Spread half of the bread cubes evenly in the dish.
- Layer with turkey ham, turkey breast, and Swiss cheese.
- Top with remaining bread cubes.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, honey, Dijon, salt, and pepper.
- Pour custard evenly over the casserole and press gently to soak.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with warm jam.
Notes
- Tip: Use day-old brioche for best soaking and a richer texture.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the milk and cream mix.
