- 1 lb halal ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1½ cups elbow macaroni
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (halal-certified)
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp mustard powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley or green onions for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add onion and garlic and cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in tomato paste, paprika, mustard powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in beef broth, milk, and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add macaroni and cook 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Reduce heat and stir in cheddar and mozzarella until melted and creamy.
- Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Serve hot with optional toppings.
