Ingredients

For the Lemon Glaze:

  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 1½ tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tbsp lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in lemon zest and juice.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and zest until smooth.
  7. Once the brownies are slightly cooled, pour glaze over the top and spread evenly. Let it set before cutting into bars.
