Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the lemon glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ½ tsp lemon zest
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add melted butter, eggs, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes, until edges are set and center is just baked through.
- Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan.
- Whisk glaze ingredients together and spread over cooled brownies.
- Let glaze set before slicing into squares.
Notes
- Line pan with parchment for easy removal.
- Cool completely before applying the glaze for best setting.
- Adjust glaze consistency by adding a splash more lemon juice if you prefer a thinner glaze.
