Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2¼ tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ cup strawberry or raspberry jam
  • 2 tbsp melted butter for brushing
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, warm water, and melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover and let rise for 40–45 minutes until doubled in size.
  5. Press dough into a greased baking pan and use your fingers to create dimples.
  6. Spoon jam into the dimples evenly across the surface.
  7. Let rise again for 15 minutes.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  9. Brush with melted butter and dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.
