Ingredients

- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2¼ tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- ¾ cup warm milk
- ¼ cup warm water
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- ½ cup strawberry or raspberry jam
- 2 tbsp melted butter for brushing
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm milk, warm water, and melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise for 40–45 minutes until doubled in size.
- Press dough into a greased baking pan and use your fingers to create dimples.
- Spoon jam into the dimples evenly across the surface.
- Let rise again for 15 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
- Brush with melted butter and dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.

- You can use strawberry or raspberry jam for the pockets.
- Let the dough rise until doubled for a soft, airy crumb.
- Brush with melted butter while hot for a glossy finish.
