How to Make Super Bouncy Balls at Home

  • Author: Freya Allen
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 12 small bouncy balls 1x

Description

Make your own super bouncy balls at home with simple ingredients—fun, fast, and perfect for kids’ science experiments or rainy-day crafts!

Ingredients

Scale

1 tablespoon white school glue (PVA)

½ teaspoon borax powder

3 tablespoons warm water

1 tablespoon cornstarch

Food coloring (few drops)

Disposable cup & spoon or popsicle stick

Plastic gloves (optional)

Zip-top bag or airtight container (for storage)

Instructions

Dissolve borax in warm water to create the solution.

Mix glue, cornstarch, and food coloring in a separate cup.

Slowly add borax solution to glue mixture while stirring.

Once solid, knead until smooth and round.

Let sit for 5–10 minutes before bouncing.

Store in a sealed container to prevent drying.

Notes

Wear gloves for easy cleanup. Bouncy balls will eventually harden if exposed to air—store airtight. Supervise young kids during activity.
