Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Arrange half of the sliced potatoes evenly in the baking dish.
  4. Spread the cooked ground beef mixture over the potatoes.
  5. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with milk until smooth, then spread over the beef layer.
  6. Add remaining potato slices on top and sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly and golden.
