Description

Healthy Greek Yogurt Banana Muffins are soft, moist, and naturally sweet, made with ripe bananas and creamy Greek yogurt, a protein-rich, low-fat treat that’s perfect for breakfast, snacks, or a wholesome bite any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Optional: chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, Greek yogurt, eggs, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in optional walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
  5. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups.
  6. Bake for 18–22 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Using whole wheat flour will yield denser muffins and more fiber.
  • For a dairy-free option, use dairy-free yogurt and maple syrup instead of honey.
  • Store muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
  • To reduce sugar, you can use a smaller amount of maple syrup and rely more on the bananas for sweetness.
