Ingredients

- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
- ¼ cup milk of choice
- Optional add-ins: chopped nuts, raisins, or mini dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, applesauce, honey, vanilla, melted oil, and milk.
- Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until combined.
- Fold in optional add-ins if using.
- Spread mixture evenly into prepared pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until set and lightly golden.
- Cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
- These bars are made with wholesome oats, no refined sugar, and can be customized with your favorite add-ins.
- For gluten-free versions, use certified gluten-free oats.
- Store in an airtight container; at room temperature for up to 4 days, refrigerate up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
