Description

Grandma’s Hash Brown Casserole – a creamy, cozy, old-fashioned side dish that brings everyone to the table.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cooking cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup finely diced onion
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes or gluten-free crackers
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix hash browns, sour cream, cooking cream, cheddar cheese, onion, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Spread mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix crushed cornflakes or crackers with melted butter.
  5. Sprinkle topping evenly over the casserole.
  6. Bake uncovered for 50–55 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
