Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup holiday sprinkles (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the holiday sprinkles.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and add extra sprinkles on top.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
