Description

Easy Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits – Crispy, juicy chicken tucked into flaky homemade biscuits and finished with a sweet-spicy hot honey drizzle.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb halal chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (for biscuits)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp cold butter, cubed
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ cup honey
  • 12 tbsp hot sauce (halal)
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, pepper, and salt for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  3. Make biscuits by mixing flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly, then stir in milk.
  4. Pat dough, cut biscuits, and bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet. Mix flour and cornstarch. Dredge marinated chicken and fry until golden and cooked through.
  6. Warm honey with hot sauce and chili flakes to make hot honey.
  7. Split biscuits, add fried chicken, and drizzle generously with hot honey.
  8. Serve warm.
