Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta – Creamy, garlicky, and comforting without feeling heavy, this dish uses lean chicken, whole wheat pasta, and a Greek yogurt Parmesan sauce for a protein-packed weeknight dinner.

- 8 oz whole wheat pasta
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
- Optional: chopped parsley or spinach
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until golden and fully cooked.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in Greek yogurt, Parmesan cheese, and reserved pasta water until smooth and creamy.
- Add cooked pasta and toss until evenly coated.
- Remove from heat and garnish with parsley or spinach if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sear chicken until nicely golden before adding garlic.
- To keep the sauce light, use non-fat Greek yogurt and adjust with additional pasta water as needed.
- If sauce thickens too much, whisk in a bit more pasta water a tablespoon at a time.
