Description
Easy Air Fryer Fried Pickles: Crispy, tangy, and totally addictive—these air fryer fried pickles deliver all the crunch of the deep-fried classic with a lighter, guilt-free twist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup dill pickle slices (chips or spears, patted dry)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Pinch of salt
- Cooking spray or light oil for air fryer
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat pickles dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each pickle slice in flour, then dip into egg, then coat in breadcrumb mixture.
- Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with cooking oil.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch, garlic mayo, or spicy ketchup.
Notes
- Pat pickles completely dry for maximum crunch.
- Using breadcrumbs or panko gives a crisp coating similar to deep-frying.
- Lightly spray with oil to help achieve a golden color without using much oil.
- Pair with ranch, garlic mayo, or spicy ketchup for dipping.
