DIY Glass Bead Suncatchers

  • Author: Freya Allen
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 612 suncatchers (depending on size) 1x

Description

Make vibrant DIY glass bead suncatchers to brighten your windows with color and creativity using just a few simple materials.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 clear glass baking dish (muffin tin or pie plate)
  • 12 cups assorted translucent glass beads (flat-backed or round)
  • Non-stick spray or parchment paper
  • Optional: metal cookie cutters
  • Optional: drill with small bit
  • Fishing line, ribbon, or twine for hanging

Instructions

Lightly grease your baking dish or line with parchment. Arrange glass beads in a single layer or inside cookie cutters. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–30 minutes until fully melted. Cool completely before removing. Drill a hole if desired and hang with ribbon or twine.

Notes

Use only glass beads—not plastic. Place your pan on a foil-lined baking sheet for easy cleanup. Ventilate the room well when baking. Cookie cutters can help shape the melted beads. Always let cool before handling.
