Description
Crockpot Hamburger Potato Casserole is a hearty, cheesy slow-cooker dish featuring halal ground beef, potatoes, onions, and creamy cheese.

- 1 lb halal ground beef
- 6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus extra for topping
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp dried parsley
Instructions
- Brown the halal ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix the soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Lightly grease your crockpot.
- Layer half the sliced potatoes on the bottom.
- Add half the cooked beef, half the onions, and half the cheese.
- Pour half of the soup mixture over the top.
- Repeat with remaining potatoes, beef, onions, cheese, and sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are tender.
- During the last 10 minutes, sprinkle extra cheese on top and let it melt.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3–4 days.
- Use a low-sodium soup and reduced-fat cheese for a lighter version.
- For even cooking, slice potatoes as evenly as possible.
