CrockPot Chicken Tortellini: Creamy, comforting slow-cooker pasta featuring tender chicken, marinara, and cheesy tortellini.

- 1½ lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 12 oz cheese tortellini (refrigerated or frozen)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley or basil
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crock pot.
- Pour marinara sauce and chicken broth over the chicken.
- Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or until chicken is tender.
- Remove chicken, shred it, and return it to the crock pot.
- Stir in heavy cream and cheese tortellini.
- Cover and cook on high for 30–40 minutes until tortellini is tender.
- Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan until melted and creamy.
- Serve warm with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
- If using frozen tortellini, extend cooking time by 5–10 minutes.
- Shred the chicken thoroughly before returning to the pot for even distribution.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or basil for color and aroma.
