- 1 cup flour
- For the Sandwich:
- 4 sandwich buns
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (halal-friendly)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- Optional: homemade croutons, sliced tomato, extra dressing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
- Set up breading stations: flour in one bowl, whisked eggs in another, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a third.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture.
- Place on the baking sheet and bake 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Toast buns lightly if desired.
- Assemble sandwiches by layering romaine lettuce on the bottom bun, placing the crispy chicken on top, drizzling with Caesar dressing, and adding Parmesan and croutons.
- Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
