Description
Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fritters are warm, cinnamon-spiced bites with crisp edges and tender apple chunks, made lighter and easier in the air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups peeled and finely chopped apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- For the glaze (optional): ½ cup powdered sugar, 1–2 tbsp milk, ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then mix in milk, vanilla, and melted butter.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Fold in chopped apples.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper (with holes poked for airflow).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter (about 2 tbsp each) onto the parchment, spacing them out.
- Air fry for 7–9 minutes, flip, and cook for another 4–5 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm fritters before serving (optional but delicious!).
Notes
- For extra crispness, line the air fryer basket with parchment paper that has holes for airflow.
- Do not overmix batter; mix until just combined to keep fritters tender.
- The glaze is optional; adjust milk to reach your desired glaze consistency.
- Let fritters cool for a few minutes before glazing for best texture.
