Description

Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta is a quick and delicious weeknight pasta dish featuring tender chicken in a velvety Cajun cream sauce tossed with pasta.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté onion, garlic, and bell pepper for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  5. Pour in cream and chicken broth. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  7. Return chicken to the pan. Toss in the cooked pasta and stir to coat evenly.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

  • Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat
  • To make a lighter version, substitute part of the cream with milk or use half-and-half
  • Use gluten-free pasta if you need a gluten-free version
