  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • ¾ cup dried or fresh cranberries
  • Optional glaze: ½ cup powdered sugar, 1–2 tablespoons orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In another bowl, whisk sour cream, egg, orange zest, and orange juice.
  5. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in cranberries.
  7. Shape dough into a circle about 1-inch thick and cut into 8 wedges.
  8. Place on baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
  9. Cool slightly and drizzle with optional orange glaze.

Notes

  • You can use dried or fresh cranberries; dried cranberries will intensify sweetness.
  • No chilling required, but chilling the dough briefly can help with handling.
