Description

Christmas Tree Spinach Dip Breadsticks are festive, warm, and irresistibly cheesy—a holiday appetizer that folds a creamy spinach dip into a golden, tree-shaped bread centerpiece.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans refrigerated pizza dough or crescent dough sheets
  • 1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup grated parmesan
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Parsley or basil for garnish
  • Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  3. Roll out one sheet of dough onto the baking sheet. Spread the spinach dip evenly, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Place the second sheet of dough on top and press gently to seal.
  5. Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into a large Christmas tree shape.
  6. Cut horizontal strips on both sides of the tree trunk, leaving the center intact.
  7. Twist each strip 1–2 times to make “tree branches.”
  8. Brush the entire tree with melted butter.
  9. Bake for 22–25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Garnish with parsley or basil and serve warm with marinara sauce.

Notes

  • You can use two sheets of dough as described to create a full tree shape.
  • For a lighter version, use part-skim mozzarella and reduced-fat cream cheese.
  • For gluten-free diets, substitute a gluten-free dough if available (note: this may affect texture).
  • Serve with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in a 350°F (175°C) oven for a few minutes until warm.
