- 1 lb halal chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup shredded cheddar (halal-certified)
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
- 4 large flour tortillas
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, garlic, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until chicken is fully cooked and lightly golden.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.
- Stir shredded mozzarella and cheddar into the cheese mixture.
- Add cooked chicken to the cheese mixture and stir until evenly coated.
- Warm tortillas slightly to make them pliable.
- Spoon chicken mixture onto each tortilla and roll tightly.
- Toast wraps in a skillet or panini press until golden and cheese is melted.
- Slice in half and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
- To reduce fat, substitute light cream cheese or Greek yogurt for part of the cream cheese.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or your favorite hot sauce.
- Best served fresh, but filling can be prepared ahead and assembled just before serving.
