Description

Breakfast Protein Biscuits are fluffy, savory, protein-packed biscuits with cheesy goodness and turkey bacon for a quick, on-the-go breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 scoop unflavored protein powder
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • ¼ cup finely diced bell peppers
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, protein powder, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese, chopped turkey bacon, bell peppers, and green onions.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and eggs.
  6. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  7. Scoop about ¼ cup of dough for each biscuit onto the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
  10. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
