Description

Biscuits and Gravy Casserole is a creamy, cozy, bold one-pan breakfast bake featuring fluffy biscuits and turkey sausage gravy.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound halal turkey sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Spread half of the biscuit pieces evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  4. Sprinkle the cooked turkey sausage over the biscuits.
  5. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking until smooth. Add garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt.
  7. Simmer until the gravy thickens, then remove from heat.
  8. Pour the gravy evenly over the sausage layer.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded cheese across the top.
  10. Add the remaining biscuit pieces over the cheese.
  11. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and the casserole is bubbly.
  12. Rest for 10 minutes before serving; garnish with parsley if you like.
