Description
Best Gluten Free Dinner Rolls: Soft, buttery, and irresistibly fluffy gluten-free dinner rolls perfect for soups, stews, or holiday dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1½ cups warm milk (about 110°F / 43°C)
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp instant yeast
- 3 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour blend (with xanthan gum)
- 1½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 4 Tbsp melted unsalted butter (plus extra for brushing)
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture, eggs, melted butter, and apple cider vinegar to the dry ingredients. Mix until a thick, sticky dough forms.
- Lightly oil your hands or use a scoop to shape the dough into 8–10 rolls and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm spot for 30–40 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the rolls for 18–22 minutes, until golden brown on top.
- Brush warm rolls with melted butter before serving.
Notes
- Ensure your gluten-free flour blend contains xanthan gum for structure.
- Keep liquids warm (not hot) to activate yeast without killing it.
- Let the dough rise in a warm spot for best volume.
- Because the dough is gluten-free, it will be sticky; lightly oil your hands for shaping.
- For a softer crust, brush with melted butter while the rolls are still warm.
