Description
Air Fryer Cinnamon Apple Rings – Quick, crisp apple rings coated in cinnamon sugar, made in the air fryer for a warm, dessert-like treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large apples (Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Cooking spray
- Optional toppings: Powdered sugar or drizzle of honey
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice apples into ¼-inch rings and remove the cores with a small round cutter.
- In one bowl, combine flour and salt. In another, whisk together egg and milk. In a third bowl, mix breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Dip each apple ring into the flour, then the egg mixture, and finally coat with the cinnamon breadcrumb mix.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the rings in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
- Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle with honey before serving warm.
Notes
- Tip: For crisper rings, pat apples dry before dipping.
- Use a light touch with cinnamon sugar to prevent excess sticking.
- These rings are best eaten warm the same day.
