Description
Air Fryer Churro Bites are a quick, crispy, cinnamon-sugar treat with a fluffy interior—the perfect 30-minute dessert or shareable snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup sugar (for coating)
- Olive oil spray or cooking spray
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a simmer.
- Add flour and stir quickly until the dough forms a smooth ball that pulls away from the sides of the pan. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Mix in vanilla extract, then add the egg and stir until smooth and glossy.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 1-inch pieces onto a parchment-lined tray.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray churro bites with olive oil.
- Air fry for 6–8 minutes or until golden and puffed.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss warm churro bites in the mixture until evenly coated.
- Serve warm with chocolate or caramel sauce if desired.
Notes
- Best served warm for a fluffy interior and crisp exterior.
- Coat the pieces immediately after air frying so the cinnamon-sugar sticks well.
- Use a piping bag with a star tip to create uniform 1-inch pieces.
- Parchment paper helps keep the tray clean and makes cleanup easy.
- Enjoy with chocolate or caramel sauce if desired.
